Eva Walden

Eva Walden began her ballet training at Metropolitan Ballet Academy in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania, under Lisa Collins Vidnovic. She then moved to Pittsfield, Maine, to study under Natalya Getman at Bossov Ballet Theatre. Eva spent her summers attending intensives at Houston Ballet, American Repertory Ballet, and Charlotte Ballet. In 2019, Eva joined Charlotte Ballet as a trainee, where she had the honor of training under Patricia McBride, Laszlo Berdo, and Kati Hanlon Mayo. There, Eva performed featured roles in George Balanchine’s Donizetti Variations, Who Cares?, and Raymonda Variations. In addition, Eva also performed soloist roles with Charlotte Ballet in Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux’s Nutcracker and in Matthew Hart’s Sleeping Beauty.

After three seasons with Charlotte Ballet, Eva relocated back to Maine and joined Portland Ballet for the 2022/2023 season. Since joining Portland Ballet, Eva has performed roles such as the Sugar Plum Fairy in A Victorian Nutcracker, Mina in Nell Shipman’s Dracula, and Princess Florine in Nell Shipman’s The Sleeping Beauty. In addition, Eva is a faculty member with the Portland School of Ballet and teaches in the Young Dancer, Junior, and Community Divisions.
