Dear Portland Ballet Community,
In our 45th “Sapphire Season” we couldn’t be more excited to be bringing ballet performance and education to communities across the region! We hope you’ll be joining us at our upcoming shows, including A Victorian Nutcracker this December, New Works this March, and A Midsummer Night’s Dream this Spring and Summer.
In addition to the performances you count on us for and the classes we provide in our studios, did you know that Portland Ballet?
Partners with regional schools and teachers, and is creating programs to bring students behind the scenes, into our studios, and deeper into the world of dance;
Works with Maine’s nonprofits, including hospitals, retirement centers, and health organizations, to bring the benefits of arts and movement forward;
Collaborates with museums, libraries, and universities, to enliven stories and deepen connections between the arts, history, and the people of Maine;
Co-creates with artists and arts organizations, to leverage collective talents and strengthen the possibilities of what we can do together;
Models bold and generous hospitality, to make sure all who seek ballet experiences can find them at Portland Ballet!
In early 2026, we’ll be revealing our new Strategic Framework for the immediate years ahead, which illuminates new ways we’re expanding our work to make Maine even more vibrant, healthy, connected, cooperative, and joyful with ballet experiences.
Now is the time we truly need your support for all that we do — from our signature productions, to our School of Ballet, to our vision for the future. We hope you’ll take a moment now to make a meaningful donation, so we can continue to sustain our organization and support multiple communities with the beauty and benefits of ballet.
With gratitude to all this season,
