Students accepted into the Pre-Professional Division are dedicated individuals looking to pursue a career in ballet, either by joining a professional company after graduation or continuing their studies in college with a Degree in Ballet. The PPD offers a demanding curriculum that requires 100 percent commitment.

Pre-Professional Division 1

Meets 4 days per week for 10 hours per week total.

Includes Ballet Technique, Pointe/Men's Class, Victorian Nutcracker rehearsals/Repertoire, Character, Modern, and Pilates.

Tuition: $3,520 (33 weeks)

Pre-Professional Division 2

Meets 5 days per week for 15 hours per week total.

Includes: Ballet Technique, Pointe/Men's Class, Victorian Nutcracker rehearsals/Repertoire, Variations, Character, Modern, and Pilates.

Tuition: $4,950 (33 weeks)

Performance Opportunities

PPD dancers perform in a Victorian Nutcracker and may be selected to participate in other professional Portland Ballet productions.

Additionally, they are part of Portland School of Ballet shows, including Building Ballets and the Year End Showcase, and also have the opportunity to partake in various community outreaches each year.

Pre-registration is REQUIRED for in person auditions.

Ages 11-12 (by June 24th)

Check-in from 1:45 - 2:00pm; Audition from 2:00 - 3:15pm
