Allison Bryant
Allison Bryant joined Portland Ballet during the 2022/2023 season. Since then, she has had the pleasure of dancing roles including Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty, the Sugar Plum Fairy in A Victorian Nutcracker, Lucy in Dracula, and Columbine in A Harlequinade. Before starting her professional career, Allison attended the University of Oklahoma, where she had the honor of receiving the Juli Busken Memorial Scholarship at the OU School of Dance. While at OU, Allison performed and workshopped choreography by Gerald Arpino, Willam Christensen, Nilas Martins, Sidra Bell, and Jiří Kylián. In May 2022, she graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ballet Performance with special distinction.
Allison began dancing at Ballet Arts of Bucks County in Doylestown, PA, and continued her training in Philadelphia at the Rock School for Dance Education under the direction of Stephanie and Bo Spassoff. In 2015, she relocated to North Carolina to join the Professional Training Program at Cary Ballet Conservatory under Mariaelena Ruiz. During this time, she received additional training from summer intensives including San Francisco Ballet School, Miami City Ballet School, Carolina Ballet, Philadelphia Ballet, and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet.
