J. Luke Tucker is a Bay Area/Northern California Native who began dancing at age five at the Sebastopol Ballet School, and continued his training at the Cary Ballet Conservatory and Portland School of Ballet. As a teenager, Mr. Tucker performed in PB’s Carmina Burana by Andrei Bossov, The Victorian Nutcracker, and Paquita. While pursuing degrees in English and Psychology at the University of Minnesota, he performed various roles with Minnesota Dance Theatre, Continental Ballet Company, and Metropolitan Ballet. Mr. Tucker relocated to New York City in 2014 to dance in Christopher Caines’ production of The Fairy Queen. He has appeared with Christopher Caines Dance and as a soloist in Gelsey Kirkland’s School Gala. For the past few years, Mr. Tucker has performed around the country in the principal roles of Snow King and Cavelier in various versions of The Nutcracker.
