Week 1 ( Monday-Friday, August 5-9 from 9:00-11:00am) — Night at the Museum

Dancers will learn about famous works of art inspired by ballet and explore movement, stillness, shape, and flow. What happens at night when museum exhibits are alone? We will discover how our sculptures move and interact, coming alive when the museum locks its doors every night! Each day will include a ballet class, story, creative movement, and art. We will work in collaboration to design a set and ballet story for the culmination of the week, a showing of our work open to the dancers' families. Each participant will create their own costume to take home at the end of the week.

Week 2 (Monday-Friday, August 12-16 from 9:00-11:00am) — Enchanted Garden

Dancers will explore the magic of a garden, both in fantasy and the natural world. From becoming gnomes, elves, and fairies to dancing a caterpillar's metamorphosis to a butterfly, we will create our own ballet based on the miniature adventures that happen below the flower blossoms. Each day includes a ballet class, story, creative movement, and art. We will work in collaboration to design a set and ballet story for the culmination of the week, a showing open to the dancers' families. Each participant will create their own costume to take home at the end of the week.
