Butch Baxter, President
Butch joined the Board in August of 2015. Butch is the current Vice President and also serves on the Governance Committee. Butch is an Information Services Manager at L.L.Bean.
Jim Shaffer, Vice President
Jim Shaffer is a former media executive who developed a subsequent career as an educator. His 30+ year media career took him to Minneapolis, Baltimore, Buffalo, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Portland, Maine, where he was CEO of Guy Gannett Communications. He later served in a variety of teaching and administrative positions at the University of Southern Maine, including Dean of the School of Business. He retired from USM in 2012 and now works with non-profit organizations.
Chrissy Atwood, Secretary
Chrissy Atwood is the Board Secretary and has served on the Board since 2012. She is a member of the Executive Committee and chairs the Governance Committee. Chrissy works in Human Resources at L.L.Bean.
Kelly Bristol, Finance Chair
Kelly Bristol has served on the Board since January of 2015. She serves as the Finance Committee Chair. Kelly is a CPA, employed as a Tax Manager at Baker Newman Noyes.
Fiona Gordon, Fundraising Chair
Fiona Gordon has served on the Board since January of 2015. She serves on the Fundraising Committee. Fiona is a fundraiser for Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences.
Melissa Lin is the past Board Vice President, Board President and has served on the Board since 2012. Melissa is a Transformation Services Sensei at Virginia Mason Institute.
Michelle Thompson joined the Board in August of 2015. Michelle is the Budget Manager at L.L.Bean.
Parke Burmeister has served on the board since 2016. He serves on the Fundraising Committee. Parke is the Principal Attorney at Casco Bay Law.
Holding a Master of Music degree from Westminster Choir College of Rider University, Princeton, New Jersey and a Bachelor of Music degree from Heidelberg University, Tiffin, Ohio; she was Lecturer in Voice at Muhlenberg College, Artist Faculty at Westminster Conservatory of Music and alto soloist and section leader at St. Thomas’ Church, Whitemarsh, PA. Ms. Gammer has also been on the faculty of the University of Southern Maine.
Most recently, Ms. Grammer held the position of executive director of Friends of the Kotzschmar Organ and ChoralART. She maintains a private studio in her home in Scarborough, ME. She is a member of Association for Consulting Expertise (ACE), National Association of Teachers of Singing NATS), Chorus America, Maine Institute of Family Businesses and Rotary Club of Portland.
Linda holds degrees in both English and Art History from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and Arizona State University, Tempe, AZ. She is published in the field of Art History and has an extensive background in higher education. Linda has also been affiliated with a number of Boards including, Maine Arts, University of Maine Art Museum, and Santa Fe Tierra de Oro Homeowners' Association.
Splitting her time between Portland, ME and Santa Fe, NM, Ms. Zillman continues to be active in non-profit work in both communities.
